2001-present                Private Practice, In-house practitioner at Quail Hill Guesthouse

                                       

1996-2001                    Massage Therapist, The Bay Club, San Francisco

The Bay Club is one of San Francisco’s premier health clubs catering to a select and demanding clientele, primarily from the Financial District.

 

As a massage therapist performed a variety of techniques including Swedish, Nomikoshi Shiatsu, Massage for Life, Trager, Thai and Orthobionomy.  In addition, was responsible for managerial tasks including insurance billing, scheduling, development of procedural standards, public relations and staff evaluation.  Performed educational functions, including workshops for staff as well as clients, and  educational outreach programs.

 

1992-1996                    Massage Therapist, Equinox Wellness Center, New York City

Initially worked as part of a staff of five.  During four year tenure the center grew to a network of centers with fifty practitioners.  Created standards for work procedures, techniques, and public relations.  Developed Swedish, Deep tissue and Spa techniques.

 

1992-1996                    Private Practice

Focused on clientele with life-threatening conditions such as AIDS, emphysema, and substance abuse.  Conducted ninety minute sessions in professional office, patients’ homes, and hospital rooms.

 

1980-1993                    Performer/Teacher

As a member of the Actors Equity Associations since 1983, performed internationally in numerous musicals including Hello Dolly with Carol Channing.  Choreographed and taught dance.  Founding director of the Marin Children’s Light Opera.

Courses included Swedish massage, Five Element Shiatsu, Medical Massage, Anatomy & Physiology, Pathology, and Medical Massage Clinic.
